- Slice onion. Mince the green onion.
- To make the Japanese dressing, combine all the seasonings, oil, vinegar, honey,minced garlic and soy sauce with citrus juice.
When the pan is hot, remove the tuna steaks from the marinade and sear them for a minute to a minute and a half on each side ( even a little longer if you want. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients except tuna. Place tuna steaks in a plastic ziploc type bag. Add Marinade to bag and seal. Set bag in a shallow pan.
