- Immediately add the jaggery mixture to the puffed rice (pori). Mix well with a spatula until thoroughly mixed. Take a small piece of the mixture and make into balls. Repeat with the remaining mixture and make balls. Set aside on a plate to cool. Garnish with rose petals and serve or store in air tight container for a week.
In pan, put all except puffed rice: put on slow heat and stir occasionally until melted, then boil until firm string forms when tried in cold water. Pour over puffed rice, stirring it in, to cover all the rice. Wash hands, rinsing with cold water. Take all ingredients except sprinkles and puffed rice in a sauce pan and heat till it comes to a boil.
