Inari-zushi is one of the most popular of current trending foods in the world. It is enjoyed by millions daily. It is easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. Inari-zushi is something that I have loved my entire life. They are fine and they look fantastic.

The ingredients needed to make Inari-zushi:
  1. Prepare Sushi Rice *cooked from 180ml x 3 cups uncooked rice
  2. Get 12 pieces 'Inari-zushi no Moto' (Seasoned Abura-age)
  3. Make ready How to cook Abura-age from scratch
  4. Make ready *Note: If you want to cook Abura-age by yourself, here is the list of the ingredients
  5. Take 6 sheets Abura-age (thin fried tofu)
  6. Take 1 cup Dashi Stock *OR 1 cup Water & 1/2 teaspoon Dashi Powder
  7. Take 4 tablespoons Mirin
  8. Prepare 4 tablespoons Sugar
  9. Make ready 4 tablespoons Soy Sauce

Some may think it too sweet by itself; however, this sweet Aburaage complements sushi rice very well. Inari Sushi (稲荷寿司, いなり寿司), or Inarizushi, is made of sushi rice that is stuffed inside seasoned deep-fried tofu pockets called Inari Age. Instructions to make Inari-zushi:
  1. Cut Abura-age in half and open them carefully. Pour very hot water over the Abura-age to remove oil from them.
  2. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and cook Abura-age until the sauce thickens. Let them cool in the sauce.
  3. Alternatively use ready-to-use 'Inari-zushi no Moto'. I recommend to empty the contents into a saucepan to heat, then cool. You can alter the flavour by adding more soy sauce or sugar.

  5. Make small Sushi Rice balls and wrap with bags of seasoned Abura-age.

Sushi-Reis, d. h. in Essig getränkter Reis, wird mit Tofu umwickelt. Die Tofutasche wird dann in Öl frittiert. Isn't Inari Zushi made of rice too?? This is Inari-Zushi, deep fried bean-curds stuffed with vinegared rice. I often make Inari-Zushi for lunch box.
