today is all about Bun Rieu, Vietnamese Crab Noodle Soup! My dear friend Be, (who showed us how to make Bun Bo Hue a while ago!) she shared her recipe for Bun Rieu with us! Bun Rieu is one of my favorite soups to make, because it is so simple and easy to whip up.

Bun rieu is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It is easy, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions daily. Bun rieu is something which I’ve loved my whole life. They are nice and they look wonderful.

To get started with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook bun rieu using 32 ingredients and 10 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Bun rieu:
  1. Take for broth:
  2. Get 4.5 lt water
  3. Prepare 700 g pork neck bones
  4. Prepare 450 g shrimps (with head)
  5. Prepare 1 tbsp tamarind powder
  6. Make ready 3 tbsp seasoned crab paste
  7. Make ready 1 tsp shrimp paste
  8. Prepare 2 tbsp salt
  9. Take 3 tbsp sugar
  10. Prepare 1 tbsp black pepper
  11. Get 4 large tomatoes
  12. Make ready 5.5 lt water
  13. Take 2 packets rice noodles
  14. Make ready for meatballs:
  15. Get 500 g crab meat lump
  16. Get 230 g ground pork
  17. Prepare 900 g peeled shrimp (leftover from the broth step)
  18. Prepare 5 large eggs
  19. Take 2 shallots
  20. Prepare 1 white onion
  21. Make ready 1 bunch green onions
  22. Prepare 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  23. Make ready 3 tbsp seasoned crab paste
  24. Take 1 tsp shrimp paste
  25. Prepare 1 tsp salt
  26. Make ready 1/2 cup water
  27. Prepare toppings (optional):
  28. Get 1 bunch cilantro
  29. Take 3 large limes
  30. Get chili sate sauce
  31. Make ready bean sprouts
  32. Make ready fried tofu puffs

Trong các món ăn miền Bắc, bún riêu cua là món ăn ngon có vị riêng từ cua, thơm mùi mắm tôm, cùng nước dùng chua ngọt thanh thanh rất thích hợp với những ngày hè nóng nực. Bún riêu cua là món ăn dân dã và nổi tiếng của người Hà Nội. Không giống như bún giò, chả cá Như vậy, chúng ta đã làm xong nồi nước dùng ngon tuyệt để ăn bún riêu cua rồi.

Instructions to make Bun rieu:
  1. Broth: Add water to a 5lt pot and boil. When the water is boiling, add in the noodles and cook until they are al dente. Strain the noodles and rinse with cold water. Set it aside.
  2. Take a large stock pot and put the pork bones in it. Fill with water and boil for a few minutes and discard the water. Add 4.5lt of fresh water to the pork bones again and boil for an hour or longer. (The longer you boil the better the broth will be.)
  3. Peel shrimps. Put the peeled shells in the boiling broth. Broth will turn red from the shrimp shells (after around 20 mins). Remove the shells and pork bones from the broth.
  4. Add the tamarind powder, 1 tsp of shrimp paste, 3 tbsp of crab paste, 3 tbsp of sugar, 2 tbsp of salt, and 1 tbsp of black pepper into the broth and let it boil.
  5. Cut the tomatoes into quarters, saute the pieces, and add them to the broth last to give it a redder colour.
  6. Meatballs: Put 900g of peeled shrimp, 5 eggs, 3 tbsp of crab paste, 1 tsp of shrimp paste, 1 tsp salt, ½ cup of water, 1.5 tsp of sugar, 2 shallots, 1 bunch of green onions, and 1 white onion into a food processor. Pulse ingredients together into a paste.
  7. Gently fold the crab meat with the shrimp mixture and ground pork until uniform.
  8. Boil the broth from above. When it is boiling take the meatball mixture and make free formed meatballs with a spoon putting them into the broth. Add the fried tofu at this point. The meatballs are cooked when they start floating to the top.
  9. For toppings, chop up the remaining green onions from the bunch and cilantro bunch – slice the remaining white onion thinly – quarter the limes.
  10. To assemble, put noodles in a bowl, add any of the toppings/garnishes. Ladle in the soup with tomatoes and meatballs. Squeeze some lime and add some chilli sate.

Bun Rieu: rice noodles. crab (pre-cooked) or canned equivilant. My aunt made some bun rieu. basically vietnamese vermicelli noodle soup. shit tasted like dish soap. i saw white bubbles on top not. Quán bún riêu theo vị Nam Bộ, nước lèo đậm vị không gắt. Mình thì thích ăn riêu ở đây, có order Hôm nay ghé ăn đúng quán ở địa chỉ này thì thật là không chê được. Quán bún riêu theo vị Nam Bộ.
