I'm sharing the Indonesian version of Mie Goreng Jawa. It was a little tricky to make because my pan was on the small side for it. definitely tastier than the restaurant version (my first encounter with mee goreng). Steps to make Mee goreng:
  1. Boil dried chilies in boiling water for 10 mins and blend them into paste, set aside.
  2. In a pot, boil the potatoes until soft. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the noodles as the package instructions.
  4. In another pan, add the eggs and scramble them and cook until 70% done. Set aside.
  5. Heat a frying wok over high heat. Add the oil and garlic until fragrant.
  6. Add the chicken and squid and cook for 4 mins.
  7. Now add chili paste and fry for a min.
  8. Add the noodles, both soya sauce, ketchup, vinegar, sweet potato puree and fry for 4 mins.
  9. Add egg, bean sprouts, spinach, potatoes and mix well.
  10. Serve with wedge of lime.
