Taquitos
Taquitos

Hello everybody, it’s Brad, welcome to my recipe site. Today, I will show you a way to prepare a distinctive dish, taquitos. One of my favorites. This time, I am going to make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Taquitos is one of the most popular of current trending foods on earth. It’s appreciated by millions daily. It is easy, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. They’re fine and they look wonderful. Taquitos is something that I have loved my whole life.

In a large bowl, combine chicken, cream cheese, chipotle and sauce, cumin, and chili powder. Corn tortillas are tightly rolled around a cheesy chicken mixture and baked until crisp. Serve these baked taquitos as an appetizer with salsa or top with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream for a main course.

To begin with this recipe, we must prepare a few ingredients. You can cook taquitos using 10 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Taquitos:
  1. Get 4 large chicken breasts
  2. Take 1 packages yellow or white corn tortilla shells (about 30 shells)
  3. Get 12 oz salsa
  4. Take 4 tbsp taco seasoning
  5. Make ready 1 tsp ground cumin
  6. Make ready 1 tsp paprika
  7. Make ready 1 tbsp onion powder
  8. Make ready 1 tbsp garlic powder
  9. Get 2 cup shredded cheese
  10. Prepare 1 oil (to coat shells)

Add chili powder, garlic, cumin, minced onion, beef broth and salsa. The great thing is this taquito recipe is versatile so you can use any type of meat - beef taquitos, chicken taquitos or pork - as long as it shreds easily. The taquitos I've always seen are only as big around as your finger. So use a teeny bit of filling and wrap the warmed tortilla tightly before securing with toothpicks.

Instructions to make Taquitos:
  1. Boil chicken breasts in water until cooked through. About 20-30 minutes.
  2. Place chicken, salsa, taco seasoning, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cheese in a large bowl or stand mixer. Mix on low speed until combined well and chicken is evenly shredded.
  3. Use oil to coat the bottom of a large dish (9X13 or larger).
  4. Place about 1 tbsp of chicken mixture on a shell and roll.
  5. Place rolled taquito in oiled pan seam side down. Continue until pan is full, brushing oil between layers.
  6. Bake uncovered at 350°F for about 20-25 minutes.

I just wish they were as good when baked instead of deep fried. Serve them hot with sour cream and/or salsa. It is for exactly that reason that the wonderful breakfast taquito was born. Think of it as a miniature breakfast. Find the best Taquitos near you on Yelp - see all Taquitos open now and reserve an open table.
