Japanese fried rice is often served with grilled chicken at restaurants. My favorite variant is to use leftover roasted chicken with the fried rice.
Instructions to make Japanese Fried Rice:
- Soak dried Shiitake and cut Shiitake small.
- Cut spring onion and Kanikamaboko
- Beat eggs with a little salt and fry eggs. Put fried eggs aside in dish.
- Heat salad oil in pan and fry spring onion.
- Fry Shiitake mushroom and Kanikamaboko and put cooked rice.
- Season Dashi powder black pepper and soy sauce then add fried egg.
- Today's dinner
Then add the rice and stir-fry for another half a minute. Then add the soy sauce and toss until well. I had a request to make Japanese fried rice so that is what I am going to do. I don't own a hibachi style grill like they use in the restaurants so I am just using a skillet, but the results are pretty much the same.
